This section of the study will incorporate the overview of important studies that have been done on the topic of quick response system. The studies that have been done so far on the issue will be analyzed in this section to have an idea about the literature gaps that exist in this field.
Many studies have been done on the topic of RFID and its adoption but no consensus has been developed among researchers regarding impact of RFID on quick response system. Omasundaram et al. (2003), has presented a detailed overview of the literature that has been done so far. This study has analyzed about 70 papers on that subject. Positivist philosophy has forced firms in the garment sector to focus on the adoption of RFID. The study done by Johnston & Gregor (2000) argues that RFID effectively enables the firm to perform a multi-level analysis. This study is unique in a view that it focuses on the many of important aspects of RFID other studies are limited in nature because those merely focus on one or two factors.
