The dining experience is amazing and this is definitely a place worth visiting again. There was sufficient number to greet and deliver the food and beverages to the customers. About 80% of the staffs had pleasant smile and continued to expose good behaviour till the moment customers left the place. It was truly satisfying. Beverages were received on time in the ground floor but with the slightest delay in the first floor. I rate 4 stars out of 5 for The Duke because of the food quality, variety, delivery and experience except the poor attitude of some staffs. This implies that this restaurant is strongly recommended.The quality and the way food and beverages are garnished and presented are truly satisfying. They rather tempted us to immediately consume and not wait for it to go cold. The desserts and spirits were dazzling for the interiors and they tasted well. The prices are nominal.
With the 1.5 hours that was spent for observation, it was found that the uniforms of staffs are neatly ironed and worn. They fit well with the colour theme of The Duke. The colour combination appears pleasant and decent enough that looks appropriate for establishment. However, the skills of wait staff were disappointing. While there are about 5-6 waiters available at anytime for the customer’s call, they seem to stand at one corner and chat which is quite annoying. Yet another skill that was observed from the waiter who served the adjacent table is lack of patience. By the time the customer was about to convey his interest of dishes, the wait staff lost his patience and moved. This is a poor skill. Yet another attendant at the beverage area showed too much of attitude and consumed excess time to prepare and serve the item.
The Duke gave an interesting experience and stands as a worthy place for people to visit and enjoy their weekdays as well as weekends. With split timings for people and the vast space around, the hospitality is interesting and pulls the attraction.
