The process has allowed the fatty acids of Omega-3 to be retained during the digestion of dairy which allows Omega 3 Yogurt to be a prominent source of Omega-3 for the consumers. The Heart Foundation of Australia has recommended 2 to 3 servings of Omega 3 rich food on a daily basis for the development of brain in children and maintaining eye, heart, and cognitive health.
Explanation of supply chain
It has been identified from the research that the milk is the primary ingredient used for the development of the Omega-3 rich yogurt. The offering of this speciality dairy is based on the milk that is procured from the Naturale company that has uses the CSIRO process (Christopher, 2016). It is found that both Naturale and Westhaven are located in the Tasmania region of Australia. This allows the organization to seamlessly procure the ingredients required to develop the product. The product of Naturale stock feed supplement Omega-3 is sourced by the Westhaven on the basis of the forecasted demand for the Omega 3 Yogurt.
