However, I find that this report is overly pessimistic in predicating their future, because through the photos of my gay friends, it could still be seen that they have passions and positive attitudes toward their life and future as well. I think that there should not exist any barriers for a person like Lin and Wilson to achieve success in today’s China, whatever his or her gender is. Although there are still some traditional controversies against the existence of the homosexual group, people will accept the differences between them and the heterosexual people after they get into and have a understanding of their world. Therefore, my project can provide supportive evidences to fight against the report which has predicted that the homosexual groups would have a hopeless future. I also want to show a more objective description to my audiences, which includes both the negative and optimistic aspects of their life.

The body part of my project are mainly based on the photos that have described the self-portraits of Lin and Wilson themselves, and their communication with their friends and lovers. Personally, I love the photos of my friend Lin, because he is a part-time model and he definitely knows how to show his emotions through the expression of his eyes and the body poses without a deliberate setting. One photo in my project captured the eye contact when Lin was talking to his boyfriend, through which you could easily perceive how close and intimate their relationship is.
