Catholic Social thought is based upon a belief that the God has a plan for the creation of each and everything in the world. It is believed that God has the plan for the purpose of creation, for building the kingdom of peace, love and justice. This thought also holds the fact that God has a very important role in creation of each one of us. This thought establishes the fact that the plan of God is not only limited to the spiritual side, but also it is related to each and every different aspect of human lives (Gronbacher, 1998). Catholic Social Teaching is therefore useful as it is the part of tradition of papal reflection related to how does humans can work for social good.
Catholic Social Thought has been generally based upon a number of different aspects of life. This may include the different aspects from family to the international development and the ways through which the people are need to think about the others who are needful (Byron, 1998). In addition to this thoughts related to the ways in which one cares for the environment, the ways in which one understands the realities of human life, the principles of CST are also based on the same thoughts.
The fourth principle of CST states that one of the most basic moral test for the human beings can be observed how are the vulnerable members in the society living there life. It says that there should be decrease in the differences between the poor and the rich. For the same, the poor and vulnerable people should be considered first for anything related to work or food. This is because these are the people who deserve to get justice (Laczniak, 1999). The fifth principle states that there should participation amidst the people (Mich, 1998). This is because it is the right of each and every person to be involved in equal participation in the community. It is also wrong for any person or a group who is not able to participate in the society. CST has established the principles in order to ensure that the human beings should live in the world in a proper manner.
They must respect each other and its creator. The nine principles of CST help to have a better understanding of the Catholic Social Thought. It also persist us to become a better human in the life and a better person.
