Introduction and Background
America, it has been said, is a land of opportunities. A land of freedom, the home of the brave, America is now facing the very serious problem of homelessness. Countless people today have no roof over their head and no place to call home and forced to suffer humiliation, anger and even guilt as they crawl up at any place that they could find at night to sleep.
Most of the people talk about how they will help the poor and the homeless, but as it turns out only words are not enough. Until and unless people realize what the homeless have to go through and how they spend their nights in the cold, they can not really grasp the true horror of their situation. The question that this observation posed in my mind is a very simple on indeed: “How would a normal everyday person feel if he was suddenly faced with homelessness and poverty?”
