符号互动

Social exchange theory
Here the theory says that the main force that initializes interpersonal communication between two persons is their urge for satisfaction of their self-interest of knowing others. This follows the principle of cost and rewards and one will explain himself to the extent so that he may get the returns.
Symbolic interaction
Here communication is guided by the symbols that are assigned by the people to various objects and events. Various things that are considered in this are social norms, human interactions, signs and symbols.
Relational dialectics theory
The variation in the dialects of all of us gives a different meaning to a different person. The change in dialect may mean some-thing else from the other person. This may vary some verbal meaning or may change the intended meaning.
Coordinated management of meaning
Every person has got his own way of perceiving things and his own meaning for different things and situations used for communication. They want to have their own rules and apply them. First they want to understand the social situation and then apply their rules.
