Introduction
The bidding processes were held in 2010 in order to choose the hosting countries of 2018 and 2022 World Cups organized by FIFA. The official process was started in March, 2009 and it ended in December 2010. Eleven bids from thirteen countries were received to select and it includes the one which was withdrawn and the one which was rejected before the official voting of FIFA members. Australia submitted a bid which was unsuccessful for 2022 and 2018 FIFA World Cups (Dunbar, 2009). FIFA announced on 2nd December, 2010 that World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar and 2018 in Russia. The Australian bid was rejected mainly because they were not ideal for football matches of international standard. They were primarily meant for cricket, rugby etc. This paper aims to analyze whether Australia should bid for 2026 FIFA World Cup or not.
