As stated by Pred (2011, p.280), power can be defined as the capacity of any individual for producing the most foreseen and intended effects of other individuals. There are mainly two kinds of power that are identified by the social scientists that are disruptive power and the collective power. Collective power can be defined as the capability of any group for understanding their common goals. In other means, it can be combined with cooperation, morale, organizations etc. On the other hand, the disruptive power can be defined as the power of any individual over what and who. In case of the disruptive power there are one dominator at one end and the egalitarians at the end. However, in any type of power, there are different types of benefited groups. In case of America society, people seeks power because they want to find their own property, earn a high value income to secure their future and want to deal a healthy lives so they can live long.

It is seen that, among 18 western democracies, the countries that has a successful social and Democratic Party and a strong trade unions are mainly correlated with their greater level of equality in the distribution of the income, progressivity in the structure of the tax and higher level of spending in the welfare. In case of Western Europe, the working class has the greatest level of power compared to the United States. Powers are generally governed by those groups of people that are over-represented in any country. In any given economy the powerful persons only has a small percentage of the total economy. The indicator of being powerful or powerless may vary in different places or times. It is seen that the decline of the landed aristocrats and the rising level of power among the business leaders in the Great Britain has been represented by the parliament (Florida, 2014, p.67). In that time, the African-Americans, the women, Asian-American and the Latinos demanded a greater level of the voices in the United States between the years of 1960s to the 1970s. As a result, their position in the authority started to increase.
