欧内斯特原则
第二个原则是由欧内斯特的原则是一个开放的社区。开放的社区与这样一个事实:在大学应该鼓励自由表达,因此言论自由,不应该妥协有关这个事实。还在社区,文明应该有力的肯定。我们的社会应该实践这一原则在运行中的每个可以有发言权的事情是否被通过学生会或其他手段。不应该存在障碍,阻止他人分享他们的意见。社区的人们应该听别人不管他们新生或有人在管理,每个人都应该尊重别人的权利和尊严。是的,我认为我们在大学应该练习这个,因为这将创建一个环境友好和分享每个人都会觉得自己是社区的一个重要组成部分,而不仅仅是一个小机器堵塞。我们都知道存在派系在大学里,有些人比其他人更受欢迎,传达他们更好。然而,大学应该鼓励言论自由的补救这一点,作为一个社区的一部分,我们需要了解其他的自由,避免违反他们的自由空间。这可以通过促进言论自由练习或例如谴责攻击性语言。
欧内斯特原则
The second principle that was given by Ernest was the principle of an open community. An open community relates to the fact that in the university should encourage freedom of expressions and hence the freedom of speech and that there should be no compromises regarding this fact. Also in the community, civility should be powerfully affirmed. Our community should practice this principle where every gets to have a say in the running of things whether it being through the student council or through any other means. There should not be such hindrances that would prevent someone from sharing their opinion. People should listen to other peoples of the community regardless of them being a freshman or someone in the administration; everyone should respect the rights and the dignity of everyone else. Yes, I do think that we should practice this in our university since this would create an environment which would be friendly and sharing everyone would feel of themselves as an important part of the community rather than just a small clog in a machine. We all know that there exists cliques in universities, some are more popular than others and get their message across better. However, the university should encourage freedom of expression to remedy this and as being a part of a community we need to understand other’s freedom too and refrain from violating their freedom space. This can be practiced through promoting freedom of speech or for example denouncing offensive language.
